Community Care Partnership of Maine Earns Shared Savings For 7th Consecutive Year

CCPM earns high quality scores, saves Medicare millions

BANGOR, MAINE — Community Care Partnership of Maine (CCPM) improved care for more than 15,000 Medicare beneficiaries across the state and saved Medicare $11,363,866.00 by meeting quality and cost goals in 2022, according to recently released performance data from the federal agency that administers Medicare.

Community Care Partnership of Maine earned a quality score of 83.41% on performance measures such as conducting cancer screenings and preventing avoidable hospitalizations, Medicare data show. The $11,363,866.00 of gross savings to Medicare will result in a shared savings payment of $4,454,636.00 to CCPM. CCPM and its participating member organizations, all of which are federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) and community hospitals, will use the performance payment to invest in continued improvements in the delivery of high-quality patient care. Performance year 2022 marks CCPM’s seventh consecutive year of success in the program. The graph below outlines CCPM’s savings generated (in blue) and shared savings paid to CCPM (in green) in MSSP 2016-2022.
